This fruity, sweet smelling oil is organically extracted from the flower buds of blackcurrant shrubs grown in France. It is considered as one of the richest sources of gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), a potent anti-inflammatory agent, as well as moisturising fatty acids and antioxidants. This makes it a desirable oil to use for topical application for soothing and relaxing inflamed or itchy skin and sore muscles, and moisturising dry scalp or hair. Its astringent properties also make it an excellent skin toner.
