Grapefruit is hybrid of Pomelo and Sweet orange. It's oil is cold pressed from the rinds of the fruit and has a characteristic sweet, citrusy and slightly bitter aroma. When used in aromatherapy, grapefruit oil has a mildly euphoric effect, uplifting the spirit and emotions. It also has astringent properties when used in skin care.
