Douglas fir (botanical name: Pseudotsuga menziesii) is an evergreen coniferous tree native to North America. They are large trees commonly used for their timber in construction. Douglas fir oil is steam distilled from the needles of the tree and has a woody, balsamic aroma. The oil is also reported to posses skin healing and rejuvenating properties. It is emotionally calming and energetically uplifting. When diffused, it transports you to a forest on a crisp day.
